I really need external images showing its first image on advanced bulk edit to redefine each product color because some stores really lazy using image recognation and not redefine its output. Imagine there is fuchsia, aqua, turqoise, moccasin, etc that’s really hard for common people to understand.
So in my case I need to redefine each product color if there is something like this example aqua or cyan color I will just place this color in blue, olive in green, and etc.

Ok – finally implemented – I figured out a different approach. I had been trying to catch the underlying code to spoof it into thinking there was an image, turns out it was far easier to add a new view with the external_image_url in it then use JavaScript to update the images on the fly.
