External Images Plugin Lightbox Image Dimensions

WP Intense Q & ACategory: External ImagesExternal Images Plugin Lightbox Image Dimensions
Kevin Lopez asked 8 months ago

I am having an issue with the lightbox images of products on Woocommerce, when clicking to display the big image they are showing with a forced 1:1 ratio making the images look weird. Is there something that I am missing?

I submitted a ticket about 7 days ago and I have not gotten a response yet.

What happens if you use the Photon image resizer option? Also, can you provide a URL where I can see a badly formed image? Your lightbox must be overriding our CSS – If I can see it, I can fix it.

I’m marking this as resolved since the fix is available – either by using Photon to resize the images or by using CSS to control the size.

External Images definitely (in all my tests on many sites) retains the correct ratio of external images when using CSS resizing, but some themes may possibly be overruling some of the CSS. If you inspect the element and look for the CSS coming from External Images and look for a strikethrough on it you should find it if this happens to you.

If you find a strikethrough, you can then either find which CSS is overruling our CSS or re-add our CSS to your custom CSS through the WordPress customizer.
