Feature – Multiselect for custom taxonomy widget

Hello!
How is it going with the implementation of this feature mentioned here ( https://www.superspeedyplugins.com/question/multiselect-for-custom-taxonomy-widget/ )?

I have product tags added as a custom taxonomy widget, but I can choose only one tag at a time.
Would it be possible to make it a multiselect, so I can choose more tags at a time?
Answer from the thread:
This is in the pipeline for February. Currently you can multiselect on product attributes only, but in early February you will be able to select multiple options from each taxonomy.
Is it already available?
I tried to register to continue the conversation in that question, but couldn't.

The complication with making multi-select on taxonomies fast comes when taxonomies are hierarchical.
Product Tags, Brands etc – rarely do I see these being hierarchical – so I could make it possible very easily for non hierarchical taxonomies to be multi-selectable.
I will also add multi select for hierarchical taxonomies, but this will be later in February.
The multi-select on non-hierarchical taxonomies will probably be released next week.
